Marine Corps Women Reserve Anniversary Committee

Chairwoman Eleanor “Ellie” Judge

Each February the chapter celebrates the anniversary of the United States Marine Corps Women's Reserve. The Women's Reserve was established February 13, 1943. The chapter celebrates this event the second Saturday of February with a special luncheon.

We honor the courage and esprit de corps of each woman who volunteered to serve her country during a time of great need and became the pioneer who paved the way for all women who have served and are serving today.

Chapter Nominating Committee

Chairwoman Kathleen Ables

The purpose of the Nominating  Committee is to Identify needed board member skills, suggest potential members and orients new members. Generally, nominated board members are selected given a variety of skills, experience, and diversity for which they bring to the Executive Committee. Nominee’s have backgrounds and contacts that differ from – but complement – those of the other board members. This diversity is vital to maintaining a “balanced” board composition. Further, nominated board members have concern for the chapters development, and are willing to learn about the substantive program areas of the organization.
