The mission of Wreaths Across America, to Remember - Honor - Teach, is carried out in part by coordinating wreath laying ceremonies on the second Saturday of December at Arlington, as well as veterans cemeteries and other locations in all 50 states and beyond.
Our chapter's goal in the past involves collecting donations for the purchase of 1,000 wreaths and the subsequent laying of donated wreaths on the day at the U.S. National Cemetery, MCAS Miramar.
Throughout the coming year, Wreaths Across America and the EMVSC Chapter of the WMA will continue this work, offering various individuals and organizations that wish to participate in this cause the ability to do so. It is a privilege for our chapter to participate in such a worthy cause giving our membership more local exposure, while accomplishing two pillars of WMA:
To Conduct Programs for Charitable and Educational Purposes; To Sponsor or Participate in Activities of a Patriotic Nature.
